Mobility for education and training

Mobility for training

Erasmus+ STT

The ERASMUS+ Programme is the largest teaching mobility programme in the world. Promoted by the European Union and managed in Portugal by the ERASMUS+ National Agency, its main objectives for staff mobility are:

  • To establish and strengthen relations between Higher Education Institutions in the different participating countries;
  • Contribute to the sharing of knowledge and good practice;
  • To provide participants with an opportunity for personal and professional development.

Who can take part and apply?

All employees who meet the following conditions can take part in the ERASMUS+ Programme:

  • Be a national of a Member State of the European Union or another eligible country, or officially recognised by Portugal as a refugee, stateless person or permanent resident;
  • Have a contractual relationship with IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.
  • Carry out the training mission at a partner university of IPLUSO or at another institution duly justified for the training activity.

Staff Mobility for Training (STT) - Possibilities

  • Training mission (continuous professional development);
  • Teaching and non-teaching staff at the HEI, in any capacity and from any department or hierarchical level;
  • European or international destination
    Physical mobility compulsory - virtual component optional;

How can you apply?

STT (Staff Technical Training) mobilities for teaching and non-teaching staff should be aligned with the institution's internationalisation policies.

A favourable assessment within the institution's dynamics suggests that there is an inter-institutional agreement for the training activity with the partner institution, i.e. for STA (Staff Teaching Assignment) mobilities (at least 8 hours of teaching).

Once an agreement has been reached, the staff member must access the Collaborator Portal and fill in the form under the option for Inserting requests within the scope of Internationalisation (Out).

Mobility eligibility is the responsibility of the Institution or Services in conjunction with the International Relations Office/DGPA (financial eligibility).

When can you apply?

Without prejudice to accepting applications on an ongoing basis, there will be two selection stages:

  • For mobility in the 1st Semester:
    applications received by 30 June, with results to be announced by 31 July.
  • For mobility in the 2nd Semester:
    applications received by 3 November, with results to be announced by 31 December.
