Visual Artes and Digital Media
  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
Curricular Unit focused on the in-depth development of the authorial artistic project.
  • ProgramaProgramme
The CU includes theoretical-practical classes and continues the work begun in the 1st semester with the CU 'Artistic Project I'. Lectures: based on examples that support the definition, presentation and rationale of the artistic project, with emphasis on: - check if the thematic delimitation and central questions are pertinent to the on going project, and - the different theoretical and practical approaches necessary for the elaboration and development of a project, taking into account the specificities of the artistic process and the different media in which it can be configured. Practical classes: held in a studio and tutorial setting, dedicated to the development and implementation of the project, under the supervision of the teachers and in dialogue/debate with colleagues. At the end of the semester, students present their artistic project with exhibition criteria, a portfolio and other communication materials (press release, invitation, biography, etc).
  • ObjectivosObjectives
General Objectives: To continue the project started in UC Artistic Project I, following the processes, strategies and research methodologies inherent to the visual arts, namely in its plastic, theoretical and conceptual dimension in deep interdisciplinarity with the UC of the study plan.   Specific Objectives: To apply the appropriate artistic and plastic, theoretical and conceptual skills intrinsic to the artistic project under development, namely in the construction of a well-referenced body of work and its own discourse. Participate in a (self-)reflective way in collective critical dialogues between the group of students and with any guest artists. Adequately document the work developed with the creation of a portfolio and other communication materials (press release, invitation, biography, among others). Exhibition project.
