The workshop on assessing susceptibility to hypnosis aims to introduce the trainee to the concept, practices and applications of hypnosis, emphasizing the ability to assess/measure hypnotizability.

The entry qualifications are a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Non-graduates with a professional curriculum recognized as having relevant merit in one of the scientific areas covered may also be admitted to the course.

- To provide knowledge about hypnosis, its history and main theories. - To provide knowledge about the main applications of hypnosis, essentially in the clinical context. - To enable students to perform some hypnotic induction procedures and their behavioral and/or psychometric evaluation. - Establish the ethical terms for the use of hypnosis and dispel some of the myths associated with it.

Essentially health professionals (doctors, nurses, psychologists, diagnostic and therapeutic technicians) and other senior technicians who may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.

Carrying out basic induction procedures using relaxation techniques and assessing trance levels. Use suggestibility and hypnosis susceptibility scales and interpret the results.
