ObjectivosObjectivesThis curricular unit includes basic skills addressed in other courses and aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the blood tissue, the pathology associated with hematopoietic organs and the process of hematopoiesis. They will also be developed theoretical concepts and methodologies from the scope of pathology of hemostasis. Will be taught some notions that enable the understanding of non-hematological malignancies, with particular regard to anemia and frequently viruses and also of oncological diseases (leukemia and lymphomas). For different groups of covered diseases will be focused, globally some aspects related to the most frequently applied therapies. Students must master the techniques for obtaining blood samples with quality, understanding of some non-malignant hematological (anemia and viruses), of some diseases and oncological pathology of hemostasis and relate to the most frequently applied therapies.

MetodologiaMethodologyIn practical classes, the student has prior access to the experimental protocols to be carried out in each class session, which allows for prior reading and preparation. These protocols are accompanied by a set of questions, to ensure individual preparation and, subsequently, the discussion of procedures and results.
