ApresentaçãoPresentationAs the designation indicates, the curricular unit "Educational Research Methodologies" is developed in the educational field, working on the investigation of the problems emerging from it, using qualitative approach methodologies.

ProgramaProgrammeScientific writing rules: author / date system, short and long citations, bibliographic references (APA standards), etc. Research in Education: concept, typologies and process. Stages of the investigation process: from the starting point to the final report. Methods, techniques and instruments for data collection and analysis: documentary research, interview and naturalistic observation. Qualitative analysis of empirical data. Research report and its stages: form and content.

ObjectivosObjectivesIt is intended with this unit that the student is able to: discuss concepts, typologies and processes inherent to education research; distinguish between common sense and scientific positioning; use the oral and written code in force in the area and the rules of scientific writing; make a bibliographic review within the theme; analyze scientific articles, resulting from field investigations, focusing on form and content; develop theoretical and empirical research exercises; present, in class, for discussion, products resulting from theoretical and empirical research; experience, in a real situation, methods, techniques and instruments for collecting and processing data; prepare a small report resulting from a small survey with a theoretical and empirical component; use research data to support intervention projects; share ideas, experiences and knowledge.
