  • ApresentaçãoPresentation
This curricular unit contextualizes the independent and autonomous professional practice, corresponding to the functional content of the Clinical Analysis and Public Health Technician and Pathological, Cytological and Thanatological Anatomy Technician professions, described in the Diário da República nº 138 of July 21 (Order n. 9409/2014), within the scope of the National Health Service, as well as in Private Institutions. Clarifies that it has primarily a professional practice in the laboratory, whose purpose is to provide support for screening, diagnosis, prognosis, therapy and monitoring based on the study of biological samples, including organs, tissues, cells and organic and / or inorganic liquids. In the scope of the professional activity, the activity is not exempt from occupational risks, thus, the awareness and concern with the occupational safety and health of all laboratory users will be already introduced in this curricular unit.
