Language Acquisition and Development
Primary Education
-
ApresentaçãoPresentation"The human species is the only biological species genetically programmed to acquire the highly complex, structured and specific systems that are natural languages" (LM in Basic Education, 1997,p.15). In recent decades, we have seen a huge development of knowledge about how children acquire language, not always free of controversy. The acquisition of language allows the child, among other things, to express themselves, organize information, build their identity and enter the horizon of reading and writing. This UC, which includes teacher training for two distinct levels (Kindergarten and 1st CEB), aims to be a space for learning and reflection, fostering knowledge about the complexity of this procurement and development process
