Computer-Aided Design
Automation and Computer Systems
-
ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Computer Aided Design is one curricular unit (UC) aims to provide students with general skills in technical drawing and computer-aided technical design, particularly applied to the design of electrical and electronic circuits. This is a UC, where the principles observed in technical design, as well as computer-aided design, must be part of the learning of a graduate in Automation and Computer Systems.

ProgramaProgrammeCP01 - Introduction to Technical Drawing and CAD Systems CP02 - Standardization in technical drawing and orthogonal projections, cuts, perspectives and three-dimensional construction CP03 - Quotations and perspectives in technical drawing CP04 - Commands based on CAD software CP05 - Symbology and layers in Autocad CP06 - Blocks and graphic representation and standardization of symbols useful for electrical engineering; CP07 - CAD applied to Electrical Engineering CP08 - Introduction to 3D drawing in Autocad
-
ObjectivosObjectivesOA01 - Interpret the standards and specific technical recommendations applicable to the execution of technical drawings; OA02 - Acquire knowledge in a set of computer tools commonly used in CAD software; OA03 - Develop the capacity for expression and graphic representation and the acquisition of knowledge of a technological nature in the area of Technical Drawing; OA04 - Develop creative thinking and visualization, expression and spatial understanding skills, which allow you to transmit ideas, shapes and concepts through drawings and graphics; OA05 - Represent technical drawings in 2D and 3D, respecting the standards of computer-aided technical drawing; OA06 - Execute drawings in orthogonal projections using CAD tools; OA07 - Create libraries; OA08 - Apply different construction methods to geometric elements, using CAD systems; OA09 – Preparation of electrical diagrams using appropriate symbols and technical drawing standards.

MetodologiaMethodologyIn theoretical classes (T) the expository and interactive method of presenting concepts and demonstrating their development is used. In theoretical-practical classes (TP), application problems are solved and examples are presented to consolidate the exposed content; In practical classes (P), drawings are created using a computational tool. The assessment will be carried out in two stages: a test and/or an exam with a theoretical and practical component, a minimum grade of 9.5 values in the test or exam, with this component having a weight of 50%. The evaluation of practical work and discussion will have a weight of 50%, with students having to submit a report for each practical work, which includes resolution using drawing software.
