PRESENTATION

ERISA is the organisational unit of IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia responsible for teaching and research in the fields of health technologies and sciences. ERISA's main objective is the quality training of health professionals. ERISA is a training centre for polytechnic higher education and is geared towards achieving the following aims and objectives:

• To train Nursing professionals, as well as other professionals in the different areas of Health Technologies, with a high capacity for performance and competence in scientific, technical, cultural and human terms;
• To develop research and the scientific, technological and pedagogical training of teaching, research and student staff in its specific areas of activity, thus ensuring the ongoing training of all its staff in accordance with the highest quality criteria;
• To collaborate in providing services to the community, with a view to the social and economic development of the geographical area in which it operates;
• Sign cultural, scientific and technical co-operation agreements with universities, polytechnic institutes or other national or foreign entities, always completely independent of any political, social, economic or religious force or institution;
• Participate in national and international co-operation projects;
• Increasing and deepening relations with companies and other organisations in order to make teaching and applied research more effective;
• Ensure that its teaching staff and researchers are in line with the requirements of the legal and institutional framework, promoting high quality teaching and research activities with a scientific and social impact.

ERISA offers CTeSP and Licentiate programmes in the areas of Nursing, Biomedical and Laboratory Sciences and Non-Conventional Therapies.
