ApresentaçãoPresentation
It is now publicly recognized that nurses constitute a professional and scientific community of the utmost importance in the functioning of the health system and in guaranteeing the population's access to quality health care. In this sense, excellence in initial and ongoing training is imperative. The selection of the teaching organization, specifically the nursing school or health school that is part of the nursing course, is a cornerstone in preparing the student for future responsible professional practice, given the complexity and unpredictability of the contexts where science and art are embodied in care. The Nursing Degree course at the Escola Superior de Saúde Ribeiro Sanches - ERISA in Lisbon thus aims to provide excellent scientific, technical, human and cultural training in the provision, management and research of nursing care for the person/family/group/community throughout their life cycle, taking into account the different levels of prevention. The curricular plan is multidisciplinary in nature and includes theoretical, theoretical-practical, laboratory, seminar and internship courses. It is organized into eight semesters, with a total of 240 ECTS. Training alternates between classroom-based curricular units and clinical training units. The latter take place in primary health care (Family Health Units, Personalized Health Care Units and Community Care Units) and in differentiated health care (Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Psychiatry, Intensive Care and Emergency Units, both in Hospital Centers and in Clinics, namely those belonging to the Lusófona Group).
