ApresentaçãoPresentationNational and international organizations emphasize the need for nurses to contribute to health policies and to citizens' health gains. In this way, the undergraduate courses in nursing include content on management, quality, and safety of care, which aim at the subsequent collaboration of graduates in the management of organizations and nursing services. Within the scope of 1st cycle training, nurses must be trained in management intrinsic to the provision of general nursing care. Thus, for the development of these skills, this UC provides content in the field of health policies and systems, clinical governance and leadership, quality management and patient safety.

Recognize the person's empowerment in planning and managing care. Establish constructive relationships in the multidisciplinary team. Respect ethics, law and clinical governance in the application of health strategies. Describe standards and indicators of quality and health outcomes. Know the formal quality management systems with the highest national prevalence. Recognize the importance of communication and a safety culture. Demonstrate leadership skills, autonomy, initiative and creativity.
