    This curricular unit aims to provide students with a set of knowledge and tools that promote the development of nursing research skills. It is recommended that the student build a research project in a theoretical-practical context, facilitating the integration of the contents presented and discussed in the theoretical classes. In Nursing Research I, the project will integrate the conceptual and methodological stages.

Research Process: Conceptual, Methodological, and Empirical Phase. - Identification of the Problem, research questions, and study objectives - Epistemological foundations of research: Qualitative and quantitative approach - Sample and study setting - Sample/sampling procedures and study setting - Data collection technique/procedure - Data processing technique/procedure 4. Dissemination of scientific knowledge

    Develop the ability to critically analyze and synthesize available evidence and information; Understand key concepts in research and nursing; Acquire knowledge about the evolution of nursing as a discipline and science; Know the stages of the research process; Identify the integrative elements of each stage of the research process; Understand the research pathway and select the appropriate techniques and tools for each paradigmatic approach; Respect the ethical principles of research; Understand the value of evidence in helping to comprehend the response to the life process of individuals, families, and communities targeted by nursing care, as well as the nature and process of all nursing interventions; Recognize the importance of developing evidence through research. Know how to design a research project in a care area and carry it out through the different stages. Know how to disseminate the results.
