Nursing Research III

  The course Nursing Research III aims to provide the student student with the acquisition of a set of knowledge and tools that facilitate the development of competences within the framework of research methodologies in nursing. The construction of a research project and its presentation / publication of findings / results stimulates the recognition of the continuing need to investigate in nursing. Thus, it is intended that the student goes through an evolutionary process, as a person, in order to pursue the search for nursing knowledge with a view to excellence in care.

   Critically analyze all available knowledge and information; Documenting their own knowledge; Recognize the importance of research / research for systematic evaluation of the practice. Integrate the concepts of confidentiality and informed and informed consent; Respect the ethical principles of research; Work in a team with a common goal. keep professional knowledge, skills and attitudes updated, in order to promote professional development; Recognize the need for knowledge of emerging technologies and new scientific knowledge; Research and interpret scientific literature; Demonstrate a critical and reflective commitment to evidence-based nursing care; Implementing a research project in a nursing care area; Prepare a report / research paper; Disseminate the findings / results obtained, contributing to the improvement of nursing care.

• MetodologiaMethodology

  In this curricular unit, the Team-based learning (TBL) methodology is used, with tasks carried out in small groups, allowing the development of the ability to analyze and apply theoretical concepts. In practical classes, the student has prior access to the experimental protocols to be carried out in each class session, which allows for prior reading and preparation. These protocols are accompanied by a set of questions, to ensure individual preparation and, subsequently, the discussion of procedures and results.
