    The Decision Support Systems (DSS) course aims to present an overview of DSS, as a value-generating element in a business organization, through the development and analysis of systems that support management in decision-making in a business context.

    OA1. Understand the complexity and qualitative aspects of decision-making processes, and use problem structuring techniques and multi-criteria approaches; OA2. Define the structure and components of a Decision Support System (DSS), as well as methodologies and techniques for designing and implementing SADs; OA3. Develop models and tools for decision support; OA4. Use the fundamental concepts of Decision Theory and Multicriteria Analysis; OA5. Develop models, supported by optimization algorithms, heuristics and simulation approaches, to solve problems of practical interest in organizations;
