    This is a special syllabus given the specific circumstances of the only student enrolled - her level is "starter"  This course aims to:  1. develop basic communication skills for everyday and introductory tourism-related situations;  2. Build essential grammar structures to support communication and use of the language;  3. Build essential vocabulary related to places, activities, hotels and holidays;  4. Develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing at starter level, using simple English;  5. Use basic grammatical structures to describe people, places, routines, accommodation, experiences 6. Communicate politely and effectively with others by providing simple information about destinations and tourism services.

    1. Basic English structures (salutations, basic questions, small talk; numbers, personal determiners, and possessives) 2. Describing destinations/places - specific adjectives, present simple tense 3. Describing accommodation (hotels) - essential vocabulary 4. Recreational and leisure activities - essential vocabulary - present continuous 5. Locations - description, prepositions - location and directions.
  • ObjectivosObjectives
    The main skills to be acquired are: 1. the ability to introduce themselves and engage in simple conversations using basic greetings, personal information, and common tourism-related expressions. 2. the ability to describe tourist destinations and attractions using simple adjectives, basic prepositions, and there is/there are structures. 3. the ability to ask for and provide basic information about locations, directions, accommodation, and tourist facilities using simple questions and answers. 4. the ability to understand and use essential tourism vocabulary in short spoken and written texts, such as websites, maps, signs, and simple itineraries. 5. the ability to produce short oral utterances and simple written descriptions of tourist destinations, highlighting its main features and attractions using basic English.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
    - Interactive lecture, brief instances of explanation associated with audiovisual resources and demontrations (real or simulated and recordings), exercises of different types (including role-play). The aim is that this combination of exercises and stimuli fosters the acquisition of the basic structures of the language and relevant vocabulary to understand utterances and written information, as well as interact orally and produce short texts on the topic of the syllabus.
