    This CU aims to: Strengthen students' ability to reflect critically on the topics covered, as well as their vocabulary range and fluency in English.  Develop students' ability to present points of view, orally in written, in English, using suitable language for emphasis, clarity and politeness.  Consolidate student's ability to gather and process information in English on topics pertaining to their area of education.  Provide students with the tools to enable them to address their search for a job effectively and purposefully, including the preparation of a CV, cover letter, personal statement and job interview.

    1. Tourism today and trends in tourism (adventure and extreme tourism; space tourism).  2. Built attractions - managing and promoting.  3. Branding in tourism - destinations, hotels.  4. Quality in tourism. 5. Tourism and social media.  6. Job-hunting - Writing a CV and a cover/motivation letter, preparing the job interview. 
  • ObjectivosObjectives
    The main competencies to be acquired are: The ability to express him/herself fluently, clearly and concisely; The ability to prepare and deliver a professional presentation, considering its structure and visual aids, as well as body language. The ability to prepare their CV for impact and effect.  The ability to write a cover letter/personal statement that will highlight their competencies and qualifications.  The ability to approach a job interview with confidence and purpose.

    Interactive lecture, short exposure times associated with audiovisual resources and demonstrations (real or simulations and recordings), individual and small group activities, debates. Such an exhibition will stimulate students to think, debate ideas, collaborate with each other and develop deep learning. Texts for social media are considered, their goals, nature and particular style, from a perspetiva of both reception and production, with a view to more efficency in the students future professional performance.
