  • ObjectivosObjectives
Apply the physical principles inherent in Mammography, Angiography and Osteodensitometry techniques. Understand the general concepts of Mammography, Angiography and Osteodensitometry techniques. Perceive and describe the tecnical protocols and positioning of Mammographic, Angiographic and Osteodensitometry. Identify and interpret normal anatomical structures. Identify and interpret the most frequent pathologies within each program item. Identify and describe the approaches in the different diagnostic imaging methodologies in its multiple aspects. Identify the methods and diagnostic techniques appropriate to the different clinical cases within each item. Use the most appropriate procedures in the treatment of contrast media hypersensitivity reactions. Identify the specific needs of the users regarding the examinations.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
This course consists of three modules with independent assessments. A test is required for the theoretical component of each module (Mammography, Osteodensitometry, and Angiography). The minimum acceptable grade per assessment is 8. A grade lower than 8 at any assessment point will result in failure of the course and a retake exam. The minimum acceptable grade for a retake exam to pass the course is 9.5. The theoretical component of each module will be weighted as follows for the TA: (40% Mammography) + (20% Osteodensitometry) + (40% Angiography). The practical component will include the presentation and discussion of a critical review of a scientific article. The final grade is the sum of the two components (60%AT+40%AP) and must be equal to or greater than 9.5 on a scale of 0 to 20 points, per module.
