ApresentaçãoPresentationThis is an introductory unit that provides students with an overview of the materials, techniques and concepts essential to multimedia artistic creation, development and production. The main emphasis of this course is to provide practical experience through the use of diverse materials in conjunction with multimedia mediums and techniques in order to stimulate the student's creative spirit and initiate them into the creation of artistic projects.

ProgramaProgramme1) Approach to the conceptual, theoretical, operative and technological contexts of the universe of art and its contemporary relationship with multimedia; Themes: Hybridization and Identity; Materiality, dematerialization and immateriality; Time, memory and place. 2. Multidisciplinary project: The specificity of the individual creative process and its articulation with different media: space, time, matter, image, sound, the body. Practical approaches and discussion of concrete examples. 3 Multimedia in its dual aspect for the creation of artistic projects: as a resource or as a medium. Practical explorations: the work and its implementation tools. 4. development of working methods: description, definition of the problem (concepts and references); studies, sketches and experiments; production strategies; reflection on the working process and descriptive memory.

ObjectivosObjectivesIdentify typologies, languages and creative processes in the field of art and multimedia; Understand multimedia in art from two fundamental points of view when creating artistic projects: as a technological resource, and as a medium/work object; Elaborate creative and appropriate responses to solve artistic problems/themes, using research and references, and learn to write a descriptive memoir. Design, develop and create multimedia artistic objects, using technological media in relation with real objects and/or traditional media; Know how to select, structure and manage essential content for the presentation of a multimedia artistic object, using devices and audiovisual, oral and/or written means of presentation; Critically exercise self-analysis and peer discussion by reflecting on the design and development processes of the projects developed.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe aim of this course is to provide students with a first multidisciplinary working space for artistic production and creation, and consequently to promote contact with different creative processes, self-analysis and critical thinking. Theory and practice will be articulated in an integrated way throughout the course, i.e. by providing artistic, literary, aesthetic and historical references, the aim is to introduce students to different creative processes and thereby begin the development of artistic projects supported by critical thinking, duly contextualized with regard to contemporary culture.
