    Optional UC. This UC is a possibility to continue the UC Sequential image and aims to deepen the training in the specific field of Manga, in articulation with the UC History of Manga and Anime.
  • ProgramaProgramme
    Introduction to the history and graphic techniques of Manga. Study and practice of Manga drawing techniques, including:   -Basic materials for Manga drawing -Basic anatomy (face, eyes, nose, mouth, hair, and ears) -Facial expressions -Body proportions, hands, and feet -Anatomy, proportions, and perspective (male, female) -Clothing and accessories -Lighting and shadows -Movement, actions, and dynamic body postures -Exploration of visual narrative techniques in Manga; -Creation of a Manga-style comic book page.
  • ObjectivosObjectives
    Students will learn and be able to apply the specific graphical techniques associated with the Manga drawing style, as well as its historical and cultural context. Develop the ability to fully represent the Manga-style character, understanding the relationships between structure, figure, and body scale. Develop technical and artistic skills to design a Manga-style comic book.

  • MetodologiaMethodology
    The individual exercises abide by a tutorial teaching regime, in which each student is personally accompanied by the teacher. The student is subject to continuous assessment and is assigned a grade at the end of the semester for their performance in the theoretical and practical elements of the course.   50% punctual, exploratory exercises. 40% project exercise: procedural, creative and qualitative development. 10%. Continuous assessment: attendance (75%), punctuality and participation. The appeal exam consists of the delivery of all exercises in the semester (50%) and the presentation or realization in loco of the exam exercise (50%).
