  • ObjectivosObjectives
    This UC aims to show the specific technical knowledge to tattoo the skin. Since there are different methods for this procedure, students learn to: - Recognize the fundamental distinctive principles of tattooing (styles and techniques); - Identify and use the utensils and equipment for tattooing considering their technical framework and suitability for each type of tattoo; - Be aware of hygiene, safety and equipment care and apply it with rigor; - Understand tattoo as an illustrative and communication strategy today; - Articulate skills to apply tattooing as an operational means in different areas of the body illustration; - Explore drawing as a technical representation tool at the service of tattooing (in conjunction with UC Drawing for Tattoos).

    Theoretical-practical exposition methodology: 1st theoretical / conceptual contextualization 2nd examples 3rd demonstration of techniques, methods, instruments, installations, hygiene and safety rules 4th execution of exercises (includes exploration and experimentation) 5th discussion of results. 10% continuous assessment with participation criteria, punctuality and mandatory presence in 75% of classes whose non-compliance requires an exam. When carrying out the exercises it is considered: their correct interpretation (measured in the results), the correct application of the methodologies indicated for each exercise, the correct graphic technical of the drawing for the execution of the tattoo, the ability to organize and systematize the work steps, and the quality of the work at the final presentation. 30% Simple drawings adapting graphic techniques to tattooing methods 30% Tattoo. Instruments, equipment, hygiene and safety. Result. 30% Final creative project.
