In Portugal there are several specialists and the Judicial Police has been considered one of the best and most effective internationally. In forensic and criminal investigation, there has been a shortage of human resources and, above all, the absence of training courses for these technicians, in which this UC assumes extreme relevance for their inherent competences. This course will make it possible to close the large shortage of human resources in the stages of conservation and sample preparation, execution of laboratory procedures and thus contribute to the gain of time for the analysis and interpretation of results and the rapid issuance of reports by senior specialists. of forensic medicine.

ObjectivosObjectivesRecognize and apply technical language in written and oral communication within the scope of medical-legal thanatological techniques; Recognize the legal and security constraints involved in performing the different types of medical-legal autopsy; Identify the various types of phthatological techniques in the medical-legal field and explain their procedures; Carry out the procedures related to the packaging / preservation of biological samples for laboratory tests.
