Educating Through Words, Nature and Robotics: Innovative Strategies for Learning

Local do Evento:
The seminar promotes pedagogical reflection by combining empathetic communication, nature and robotics to foster meaningful learning and essential student skills
As a first session, we explore the importance of empathetic communication as one of the pillars of educational practice in establishing a positive teacher-student relationship.
In the second session, we reflect on the sensitivity that adults should have when interacting with students, as well as the importance of providing quality educational experiences that foster child–nature interaction through play, risk, movement and autonomous exploration.
Finally, under the premise that learning also happens through play, we present some strategies for exploring the potential of robots in teaching and learning as a resource to enhance the development of skills associated with computational thinking.
In addition to developing logical reasoning, problem-solving and planning skills, the use of robots in educational contexts can serve as an integrative tool that promotes interdisciplinary learning.
