Open class addressing the HighScope model, a project that emphasises the autonomy of the child, the adult-child interaction, and the organisation of space as an educational partner
In this open class, which will take place on 29 October at 11:00 a.m. we are joined by Joaquim Vitor, Executive Director of Raiz International Active Learning School, and Joana Lima, HighScope Supervisor, who introduce to IPLuso the HighScope Portugal Association, a non-profit organisation that works to promote and support the implementation of the HighScope Model in Portugal.
This model is based on the child development theories of Jean Piaget and John Dewey. When a child enters the educational system, they bring with them a family, expectations, and a life project that must be embraced in all its diversity and complexity. HighScope is prepared to provide a response in various areas, in a sustainable manner.
