An open class that aims to highlight the role of professionals in building inclusive and socially just educational contexts
As part of the Lusófona University Academy of Social Work, an Open Class entitled “Inclusion is a Right: practices and reflections on specialised educational support” will take place, featuring Professor Ângela FL, from Rio de Janeiro.
This initiative aims to encourage reflection on the importance of specialised educational support as a practice that promotes human rights, equity, and the school inclusion of people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). It also seeks to strengthen the connection between education and social work, highlighting the role of professionals in building inclusive and socially just educational contexts.
The session is intended for students of the Social Work and Education programmes at Lusófona University and IPLUSO, offering them a space for interdisciplinary learning and dialogue on inclusive practices, public policies, and contemporary challenges in education and social intervention.
