Get to know the project that celebrates the legacy of Luís de Camões through literature and illustration

The cultural and educational project "Camões para Sempre" will hold its first official presentation, marking the occasion with the launch of the book that gives its name to the initiative. This event promises to be a celebration of literature and art, bringing together work from various creative and academic fields.
"Camões para Sempre" is a joint initiative that reflects the collaboration between various professionals and students, involving multiple educational institutions. The initiative is led by Paulo Mendes Pinto from Lusófona University, along with Maria Neves and Marco Fraga da Silva from IPLUSO. This collective effort comes to life with original illustrations created by students from the Bachelor’s in Illustration and Drawing and with the carefully curated selection of texts by Anabela Freitas and Maria Neves.
The book, which will be presented to the public, represents a creative and contemporary approach to the works of Luís de Camões, one of the most emblematic figures in Portuguese literature. In addition to highlighting his timeless relevance, the project explores new ways of interpreting and presenting his texts, creating a dialogue between literary tradition and modern visual expression.
