A unique opportunity for innovators to turn their ideas into successful businesses
The Universidade Lusófona, through the PLAY – Creative and Technological Incubator, is promoting another edition of Play Your Idea, an annual competition aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation. The initiative seeks to highlight innovative, competitive, and sustainable business projects, helping to transform promising ideas into viable businesses.
Play Your Idea 2025 will reward the best business and creative-based projects, promoting solutions in the areas of Arts, Communication, and Creative Industries (Category A) and Digital and Technology (Category B). Winners will receive cash prizes, incubation at PLAY, and executive training at Lusófona Executive School (LES).
Competition Phases
The competition will be held in three phases:
- Phase 1 – Generate Ideas - Submission of applications by 31 March 2025.
- Phase 2 – Structure Ideas - Structuring and development of the 30 best ideas by 16 May 2025.
- Phase 3 – Pitch Ideas - Final presentation of the 10 finalists on 25 June 2025.
Prizes
Winners will receive a range of exclusive benefits:
1st Place:
- Cash prize of €1,250;
- 1 year of incubation at PLAY;
- 100% tuition discount for a Postgraduate Course at LES;
- Category A: Project development within a partner company of the European project FILMEU;
- Category B: 1 year of access to the CGI Unicorn Academy programme.
2nd Place:
- Cash prize of €500;
- 6 months of incubation at PLAY;
- 80% tuition discount for a Postgraduate Course at LES;
- Category A: Project development within a partner company of the European project FILMEU;
- Category B: 6 months of access to the CGI Unicorn Academy programme.
3rd Place:
- Cash prize of €250;
- 3 months of incubation at PLAY;
- 40% tuition discount for a Postgraduate Course at LES;
- Category A: Project development within a partner company of the European project FILMEU;
- Category B: 3 months of access to the CGI Unicorn Academy programme.
Honourable Mentions:
- The jury may award additional distinctions to outstanding projects.
