The Master's Degree in Experimental Illustration and Graphic Narratives has three areas of specialisation: Illustrated Albums, Comics, and Artist's Books. It provides technical (traditional/digital) and creative skills to authors, artists and technologists; it proposes an experimental and innovative approach to illustrated and/or visual editorial projects, institutional, recreational or educational comic strips, or for exhibition, and Artist's Books. It deepens creativity, criticism, research, autonomy, proactivity and innovation. It provides competitive specialisation, conducive to professionalisation and integration into the labour market. It prepares students for contemporary challenges in the field of graphic novel creation and visual storytelling projects, as well as enabling academic research.

The following may apply for the Study Cycle: Holders of a BA or equivalent legal qualification conferred by a national IHE in the area of Audiovisuals and Media Production, Arts and related areas; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, or legal equivalent, conferred following a 1st CE organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a state adhering to this Process, in Audiovisuals and Media Production, Arts and related areas; Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council of ECIA as meeting the objectives of a Bachelor's degree i in the Audiovisuals and Media Production, Arts and related areas; Individuals with an academic, scientific, or professional curriculum recognized by the Technical-Scientific Council of ECIA as attesting to the capability to undertake this SC. Upon completion of this cycle of studies, students should be able to: - Apply their creativity and technical knowledge in various forms of design in traditional, digital and hybrid formats to showcase projects suitable for publication; - Apply research methodologies specific to the arts and media production in communicating artistic practice and in future academic studies; - Foster authorial awareness and originality in proposals within the contemporary publishing and artistic landscape; Promote and publicise themselves in the job market, integrate artistic publishing projects and competitions, and create professional opportunities in the artistic and publishing system; - Apply skills in collaborative and interdisciplinary contexts in project development; - Present critical and reflective thinking regarding the potential of graphic novels and visual storytelling, their social and ethical implications, and their role in the contemporary publishing context.

The following may apply for the Master's Degree in Experimental Illustration and Graphic Narratives: - Holders of a Bachelor's Degree or legal equivalent awarded by a national higher education institution in the field of Arts and related areas; - Holders of a foreign higher education degree, or legal equivalent, awarded following a 1st cycle organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process, in the field of Audiovisual and Media Production, Arts and related areas; - Holders of a foreign higher education degree recognised by the ECIA Technical and Scientific Council as satisfying the objectives of the Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual and Media Production, Arts and related areas; - Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae recognised by the ECIA Technical-Scientific Council as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies.
