Do you want to study at IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia?
Every year, IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia welcomes more than a hundred Erasmus students and students from other exchange programmes from partner institutions around the world. If you would like to spend a period of study at our institute, find out about the application procedure for IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.
The ERASMUS+ programme offers mobility opportunities for studies (SMS) and internships (SMP).
These opportunities depend on the existence of a prior agreement between the Higher Education Institution of origin and IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia. So, if you would like to study at IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia as a mobility student, you should first contact the International Office of your home university to see what courses are available. If there is a valid bilateral co-operation agreement between your university and IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia, your institution may nominate you to spend a period of study with us.
The admission procedure for mobility students coming to IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia includes two compulsory stages:
- The home institution nominates the student to IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.
- The student submits the mobility application to IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.
Who can apply?
- All students from Partner Universities who have been nominated by their Home Institution can take part in mobility for studies at IPLUSO.
- Students must submit their nominations to their university.
- The home university deals with the official nominations of the students and sends them by email to IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.

The application period for Erasmus+ mobility takes place in accordance with the following phases.

Applications are accepted if they fulfil the following requirements:
- The nomination must be made by the institution of origin.
- Only nominations and applications submitted by the deadline will be accepted. For more information, please contact us at the following email address: mobilidade@ipluso.pt
- The official nomination does not mean that the student has been accepted. All applicants to the IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia mobility programme should wait for an email with information on the next steps. After receiving this email, you must complete the application process and wait for confirmation of acceptance. No nominations or applications will be accepted after the deadlines.
Applying for Erasmus+ Incoming Mobility
Incoming applications are made online via the Mobility-Online system. Nominated candidates will be contacted by email by the International Office of IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia. The email will contain instructions for formally completing the mobility application. If you have any questions, please contact the International Office by e-mail: mobilidade@ipluso.pt.
- Access the application form (the link will be made available by email once the International Office of IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia has accepted your nomination).
- Fill in the required details and submit.
- After submitting your application, you will receive an email with a link to register on the mobility platform - Mobility-Online.
- Follow the link, add your date of birth and set your password and log in.
- After logging in you will have access to managing your application.
- Fill in your personal details (1 Photograph; Identification document).
Upload the following documents
- Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript of Records
- Language Certificate, B1 – English
- Health Insurance Document
- Learning Agreement (if still in paper)
Once your Erasmus+ mobility application has been accepted
Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an automatic email from the Mobility Online mobility system informing you of the next steps. You can check the status of your application at any time by accessing the Mobility application portal.
Documents you should attach or have with you before the mobility and after the application has been accepted
- Learning Agreement if there are any changes to the original document
- Insurance
- European Health Insurance Card
- English Language Certificate (B1) or Portuguese Language Certificate (B1) presenting International Certification - TOEFL, ESOL, IELTS or OLS Exam
You can print the Letter of Acceptance from the Mobility portal. Please check the portal to see if the Letter of Acceptance is already available for download.
The Overseas Programme is a mobility programme between higher education institutions outside the European area. The programme is based on bilateral cooperation and is agreed and defined in a cooperation protocol.
Free mobility is available to any student. This modality does not include the award of a mobility grant and requires the payment of emoluments and tuition fees, in accordance with the service orders in force. As free movers, students are also obliged to submit their application to IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia, which will be assessed by the respective Mobility Coordinator.
Free mover students are subject to the payment of emoluments and tuition fees, in accordance with the Service Orders in force.
Who can apply?
The AULP Mobility Programme comprises two applications. Those interested should first apply to the Programme at AULP. Once accepted by the programme and nominated, students will receive an email with information on the next steps:
- All students who are regularly enrolled in a degree-granting program - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd cycle - may participate in the AULP Mobility Program.
- All students selected by AULP may study at IPLUSO - Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia.
How can you apply?
The AULP Mobility Programme comprises two applications. Those interested should first apply to the Programme at AULP. Once accepted by the programme and nominated, students will receive an email with information on the next steps:

Gather and upload the following documentation:
- Copy of Identification Document or Passport;
- Study Agreement - Signed and stamped by the Home Institution;
- Assessment Certificate;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Portfolio (available online) - Only required for students applying for the Communication Design and Architecture courses.
