Collective work strengthens the dialogue between humanism and science

The book "Humanism and Science: A Necessary Dialogue", published by Lusófona University Press, brings together outstanding reflections presented at the 3rd International Congress on Humanism, Human Rights and Citizenship. Two lecturers from IPLUSO contribute to this volume with highly relevant academic work: Professor José Brás, author of the chapter “The Body as a Place of Existential Radiation of Citizenship”, and Professor Maria Neves Gonçalves, co-author of the chapter “The Dream of Becoming an Educator/Teacher: Motivations and Aspirations of Master’s Students in Education”. These contributions highlight IPLUSO’s active involvement in critical scientific production on citizenship, ethics and teacher education, consolidating its role within higher education in Portugal.

At IPLUSO, teaching and research go hand in hand in building knowledge with social impact, reinforcing the commitment to an education guided by humanist values, innovation and civic responsibility.
