IPLUSO presented research and innovation projects at the 6th edition of Criar Ciência and won the Fazer+ Research Excellence Award

IPLUSO – Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia took part in the 6th edition of the Criar Ciência e Fazer Inovação made in Lusófona event, held on 10 September at the Agostinho da Silva Auditorium at Lusófona University. The initiative featured the institution's research and innovation projects, and IPLUSO received the Fazer+ Research Excellence Award.

Participation included three exhibits at the Science and Innovation Exhibition, presented by lecturers and researchers Bruno Victor, Luís Pires, Ana António, Gilberto Colaço, Gabriel Colaço and Catarina Lira Pereira. IPLUSO also delivered two presentations as part of the Fazer+ Awards, by Ana António and Carlos Barros.

The Fazer+ Research Excellence Award was presented to the project showcased by Professor Bruno Victor and his team from the CBEL – Computational Biomolecular Engineering Lab research unit.

This distinction highlights the work carried out by IPLUSO researchers and the importance of applied research in generating scientific knowledge and seeking solutions to concrete challenges.

Research that turns knowledge into impact

Research becomes more meaningful when scientific knowledge helps us understand problems and find solutions to real-world needs. Through applied research and innovation, IPLUSO fosters links between scientific output, experimentation and the practical application of knowledge.

This approach brings research closer to the contexts in which it can make a difference, creating opportunities for knowledge developed in academia to contribute to scientific, technological and social progress.
