Subcommittee of the School Health Programme in Higher Education promotes healthy lifestyle habits among university students
The Directorate-General of Health has established a subcommittee of the School Health Programme for Higher Education, in which the director of the Ribeiro Sanches School of Health (ERISA) participates, representing the Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP).
The latest meeting took place on the 20th at the rectorate of Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre, discussing issues related to the need to raise awareness among young higher education students about reducing alcohol consumption, particularly binge drinking, sexual harassment, drug and tobacco use, and healthy eating.
Essentially, it aims to raise awareness of healthy lifestyle habits that are indispensable for health prevention, with long-term effects on better health, fewer pathologies, and a more positive longevity.
