Joint work by lecturers and students from the Bachelor’s in Automation and Computer Systems receives distinction in the journal Designs for its scientific rigor and impact

Professors from the School of Engineering and Technologies (EET) at IPLUSO, Luís Pires and José Martins, in collaboration with students from the Bachelor’s in Automation and Computer Systems — João Figueiredo, João Nascimento, and Ricardo Martins — have had their scientific article distinguished as an Editor’s Choice Article by MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute), one of the world’s largest open-access scientific publishers.

The article, published in the journal Designs, was selected from recently published works due to its scientific relevance, impact in its research field, and interest to the international academic community.

This distinction is awarded based on recommendations from MDPI’s scientific editors worldwide, highlighting a limited number of particularly significant articles.

Being selected as an Editor’s Choice represents recognition of the scientific rigor, technological innovation, and quality of the work developed at EET-IPLUSO, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to applied research in the fields of Automation, Computer Systems, and Intelligent Technologies.
