Presentation
The FAZER + Programme is a Science and Innovation Support Programme, whose objective is to support and reward activities and projects that strengthen research and innovation capacity in Lusófona University institutions.
The programme is composed of 1 call and 3 awards:
- Research Excellence Competition;
- Award for Best Innovative Teaching Practice;
- Award for Good Practices in Research in Teaching;
- Lusófona University Scientific Publications Award.

Research Excellence Competition
Presentation
This competition aims to fund innovative projects and, preferably, those with a strong interdisciplinary component in any field of knowledge, which may result in larger-scale projects to be submitted later for national or international funding and/or for patent submission or other intellectual property registrations.
Available Budget Allocation
The allocated amount is one hundred thousand euros (€100,000).
Maximum Funding per Project
The maximum amount per application is fifty thousand euros (€50,000).

Award for Best Innovative Teaching Practice
Presentation
This award aims to recognise the integration of innovative practices into curricular content of course units at any level of education, promoting transversal, active and collaborative learning, based on face-to-face, distance or blended teaching/learning systems, with a view to encouraging self-learning and inclusive education.
Maximum Funding per Project
The award amount per individual application is €5,000 (five thousand euros).
The award amount per group application is €8,000 (eight thousand euros).

Award for Good Practices in Research in Teaching
Presentation
This award aims to recognise the best processes of integrating R&D (Research and Development) practices into course unit content, promoting student immersion in research and development activities.
Maximum Funding per Project
The award amount per application is €5,000 (five thousand euros).
The amount may be awarded individually or to the group of winning lecturers.

Lusófona University Scientific Publications Award
Presentation
This award aims to recognise scientific research activity and encourage publication in internationally recognised high-quality peer-reviewed journals and publishers (Q1).
Maximum Funding per Project
The award amount per application is €250 (two hundred and fifty euros).
