ApresentaçãoPresentationIn this curricular unit, it is intended that the students acquire knowledge related to the work developed with wild animals in Zoos and Wildlife Recovery Centers. This curricular unit includes a wide diversity of animal classes. It provides theoretical and practical knowledge on Conservation Medicine lato senso, maintenance, nutrition, pathologies and containment of species.

ObjectivosObjectivesGeneral concepts of biodiversity and conservation. Relationship with the health of animals and humans and ecosystems. Understand the concept of conservation medicine. Knowledge of animal diversity and importance of conservation ie six and en six and in relation to veterinary intervention Understood that the main issues addressed in conservation medicine are emerging zoonotic diseases or not. Understanding the role of zoos and rehabilitation centers. Acquire skills to perform nursing procedures and clinical assistance to the veterinarian in zoos and rehabilitation centers Promote student contact with the various species of wildlife and zoological parks in different areas of operation trough field trips
