ObjectivosObjectivesOn completion of this course, students should be able to: ¿ Understand the operating principles of sensors and transducers, distinguishing between passive, active and digital sensors .¿ Identify and implement signal conditioning circuits, including instrumentation amplifiers, analog filters and sampling and retention circuits. ¿ Explain the operation and characteristics of analogue-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analogue (D/A) converters, recognizing different architectures and applications. ¿ Apply the Nyquist sampling theorem and evaluate parameters such as linearity and error in conversion systems. ¿ Design and assemble signal acquisition chains, integrating sensors, conditioning and conversion.
