    The Curricular Unit aims to enable students to understand and use essential technological tools in the tourism sector, including Global Distribution Systems (GDS).Property Management Systems (PMS) and tourism e-commerce platforms. Scope: Field of activity: Digitalization and automation in tourism management. Area of ¿¿activity: Hotel industry, travel agencies, transport and tourist distribution. Areas of intervention: Implementation of digital systems, process optimization and technological innovation. Relevance: Essential in the study cycle to prepare professionals capable of integrating and managing emerging technologies in tourism, increasing competitiveness and efficiency. This course combines theory and practice in order to prepare students for the challenges of digital transformation in tourism.

    Know the main applications and Information Systems for Tourism companies. Know how to find the best solution in the market for business needs, at a legal, technological and financial level. Master the use of applications available in an academic context, extrapolating to the business reality. Understand the new directions and the extent to which new Technologies influence business in Tourism. - Develop practical skills in using a PMS. Know the main GDS used in tourist intermediation.

Demonstrative Classes & Virtual Labs → Hands-on experience with reservation and tourism management systems. These methodologies prepare students for the digital reality of the tourism sector, making learning dynamic and engaging.
