ApresentaçãoPresentationThe History and Geography Workshop Curriculum Unit aims to transform classroom work, making it active and dynamic, in order to facilitate the students' learning process. Since teaching must be student-centered, students must become agents of their own knowledge.

ObjectivosObjectivesIdentify and analyse the role of historical and geographical education in the early years of schooling, based on the theory that underpins current teaching guidelines; - Plan indoor and outdoor activities aimed at developing children's new knowledge of the surrounding social, physical and natural environment; -Deepen pedagogical practices to approach knowledge of the physical, social and cultural environment. -Developing attitudes of criticism, reflection, initiative, autonomy and respect in students; -Developing habits of participation in group activities; - Motivate students towards the importance of learning History and Geography. - Understanding human beings as agents who transform geographical space; - Promoting the development of action skills that enable the mobilisation of knowledge

MetodologiaMethodologyThe methodology of the History and Geography of Portugal Workshop calls on students to take on an active role as problem-solvers using the Problem Based Learning methodology. In project work, students are led to reflect on the new knowledge they have acquired and decide on future actions to take, actively contributing to the development of a wide range of instrumental, interpersonal and systemic competences.
