    This curricular unit aims to provide students with a holistic and integrated approach to the natural sciences, through a balanced combination of theory and practice, thus promoting the development of scientific, cognitive and social skills essential for their academic and professional future through the design and conceptualization of practical activities.

    Module 1: Science as a Basis for Child Development  o Nature Science themes. Relating the themes to children's  reality.  o Practical activity: Exploring natural objects and creating investigative questions.  questions.  2. Module 2: Planning practical activities for different ages.  o Interdisciplinarity between Nature Sciences and other areas   3. Module 3: Teaching resources  o Exploring resources.  o Practical activity: Planning and designing models on two selected themes, Pre-school and Primary School  4.  Reflection and Evaluation.  
  • ObjectivosObjectives
    Stimulate students' research and critical thinking about fundamental and advanced concepts in the natural sciences. Integrate theoretical and practical content, encouraging active and participatory learning. Approach methodologies and teaching resources in the natural sciences from an integrative perspective. Design and plan practical activities adapted to the age group for which they are intended. Improve oral and written communication in the scientific field, as well as group work and collaboration.

    The methodology of the History and Geography of Portugal Workshop calls on students to take on an active role as problem-solvers using the Problem Based Learning methodology. In group work, students are led to reflect on the new knowledge they have acquired and decide on future actions to take, actively contributing to the development of a wide range of instrumental, interpersonal and systemic competences.
