Ethical issues associated with research, publication, and communication of results will be addressed. In terms of skills and competencies, students are expected to develop technical abilities in data handling, scientific writing, presentation of work, and the adoption of an attitude consistent with the deontological principles of research. In articulation with a scientist-practitioner training model, this curricular unit promotes the development of competencies in scientific production, active research, continuous updating, and critical use of scientific information in professional practice. Aspects related to the integration of artificial intelligence into the research process will also be addressed.
