ProgramaProgramme1) DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF A COMIC BOOK Comic book art vocabulary notions (layout options and grids for building the page, double page relationship, rhythm, scale of shots for the panels, comic book typography and onomatopoeia, ballooning); Comics pre-production: scriptwriting, character design, scenarios and thumbnailing; Comic book production: penciling, inking, balloons/subtitles, onomatopoeia, color, pagination in suitable software, and design; Exporting for print and web. 2) COMIC BOOK PROMOTIONAL POSTER Notions of design (relationships between image and text); Production of a poster to promote the visual narrative.

ObjectivosObjectivesThe general objective of this introductory course is to present the sequential illustrated narrative and encourage students to develop relevant projects as illustrators. The specific objectives are: ¿ Understanding the specific principles of visual storytelling for correct communication through comics; ¿ Introduction to the concept and practice of thumbnailing and storyboarding; ¿ Introduction to the concept and practice of the comics medium;

MetodologiaMethodologyPresentation of exercises by the teacher with demonstration of examples and methodologies; collective critical analysis at the end of classes on all the work done. 70% Producing a comic book 20% Producing a promotional poster for the comic book 10% - Continuous Assessment: participation, attendance, and presence (75%) whose non-compliance requires examination. The exam consists of the presentation of all exercises made during the semester (50%) and the answer to the exam exercise (50%).
