ApresentaçãoPresentationThe Internship, a curricular unit integrated into the 2nd semester of the 2nd year of the study plan of the higher technical professional course in Automation and Robotics, as a work-based training component, aims to allow the student to be inserted into a work environment and in functions related to their field of work, training, evolving and applying the knowledge and skills acquired to the practical activities of the professional profile. The Internship is a curricular unit that aims to establish a link with host entities, in order to enable the application in a real work context of the knowledge acquired by the student during the school part of the corresponding study cycle, so that they consolidate it and can develop new skills and competences.

ProgramaProgrammeThis work-based training, Internship, which is an integral and mandatory part of the professional higher technician course in Automation and Robotics, will be carried out in a company. The student, together with the academic supervisor and business supervisor, will develop an internship plan to be carried out in a work context. Throughout the internship period, the student will seek to develop and implement it. This plan will indicate the general lines of the tasks to be developed by the student within the scope of this curricular unit. The Institute will appoint a supervisor responsible for the internship. The company will appoint a supervisor who will monitor the internship, and at the end there will be a public presentation of the internship report which will be submitted for final evaluation.

ObjectivosObjectivesIn general terms, the aim is for students in internship environments at the companies where they are placed to be able to: - Apply, in a real context and in an integrated and interdisciplinary way, the knowledge acquired in the different components of the training. - Adapt and develop work habits according to the reality of a company. - Demonstrate the ability to relate interpersonally with different interlocutors with a sense of ethics and deontology; - Describe the technologies, products and services present in the companies. - Demonstrate versatility and initiative; - Demonstrate the ability to adapt to the evolution of procedures and technologies; - Develop and publicly present reports and other documents.

MetodologiaMethodologyThe final classification of the curricular internship will be expressed on a numerical scale of 0 to 20 points, resulting from a weighted average of the evaluation criteria indicated in the previous number, according to the following weightings: a. Intermediate internship evaluation - 15% b. Final report evaluation - 65% c. Public presentation evaluation - 20% The final evaluation and classification of the internship will be carried out by a jury, chaired by the Director of the course.
