UNESCO initiative “Drums for Peace” engages children in songs, poems and symbols of unity
IPLUSO students are taking part in the “Drums for Peace” initiative, an annual UNESCO event held on 21 March, during which primary school pupils symbolically highlight the importance of Peace – through songs, musical poems, or by creating a dove. Indeed, this initiative, which promotes harmony and solidarity through poetry and rhythm, represents a unique opportunity to emphasise the values of peace, unity and diversity.
Lecturer Raquel Ramos, from IPLUSO, led the project with second-year students of the Master’s Degree in Pre-School and Primary Education, by producing a video showcasing activities carried out by children in internship and professional contexts.
