The course aims to provide training in the Promotion and Protection of Children and Young People in Danger. From the Law on the Protection of Children and Young People in Danger to its implementation in the Portuguese intervention model. In a complex context of the integration of children and young people, we are witnessing a shared intervention of responsibilities for the best interests of the child, with the emergence of an awareness of children and young people as being entitled to protection, where the system is called upon to participate in a conscious, articulated and informed way in the detection and action in situations of Children and Young People in Danger.

- Completed 12th grade - Bachelor's degree

At the end of the course, participants will be able to: - Contextualize intervention in the Promotion and Protection of Children and Young People; - Know the levels of intervention in the Promotion and Protection of Children and Young People; - Know the intervention model of the Child and Youth Protection Commissions; - Identify the role of the different social agents in promotion and protection; - Identify situations of risk and danger.

Social workers, psychologists, kindergarten teachers and social workers interested in complementing their training in the area of intervention with children and young people in danger, particularly in the Promotion and Protection system.

- Ensuring the conditions of food, hygiene, rest, health, safety, general well-being and organization of the place where the children and young people are, as well as the materials used. - Accompanying children and young people in the kindergarten room, Free Time Activities (ATL) and Family Support Component (CAF), in playgrounds and other places where their presence is requested. - Ensuring the well-being of children and young people at risk and with special needs. - Informing parents and/or staff of any health or other problems concerning the child's or young person's daily routine. - Identifying alterations in the physical, psychomotor, socio-affective and cognitive development of children and young people and reporting them to the educational team. - Apply first aid in the school context.

Intervention with families, children and young people in the area of promotion and protection, namely work in the CPCJ, educational establishments, community centers, local development projects.
