IPLuso's Higher Professional Technical Course in Accounting and Management aims to train professionals who are able to carry out their professional activity in the field of accounting, through theoretical and practical training, which aims to guarantee the acquisition of sustained knowledge and its application in different organizational contexts.

- Holders of the 12th grade or legally equivalent qualification; - Holders of CETs, CTeSPs or higher education degrees; - Over 23s - those who have passed the tests specially designed to assess their ability to attend higher education.

The main objective of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Accounting and Management at the Instituto Politécnico da Lusofonia is to train professionals capable of managing operational financial and accounting management activities in a business context, enhancing compliance with the legal and fiscal framework of companies.

- Coordinating the collection of financial information relevant to management; - Preparing the relevant financial information required for the company or public or private organization to comply with its accounting and tax obligations; - Collaborate in activities to support the Administration/Directorate in the economic and financial management of the company or public or private organization; - Plan, autonomously, the basic structuring of information within the framework of financial and management accounting for entities; - Collaborate in activities to support the commercial area, namely in the management of purchases and sales of the company or public or private organization, carried out in the national and international context; - Managing, monitoring and controlling information systems to support customer and supplier management, as well as those relating to treasury management; - Developing documentation to support the instruction of processes related to international trade (import/export); - Coordinating the procedures necessary to fulfill the company's obligations to the Tax Authorities; - Preparing information for the preparation of the annual budget of the company or public or private entity, in its various aspects: financial, treasury, investments, purchases, production, sales, using appropriate methodologies; - Preparing information for financial management opinions and reports with a view to the efficient and effective performance of the company or public entity; - Coordinating improvements in computer applications to support the management and accounting of the company or public or private entity; - Implementing reports on the performance of accounting software in accordance with the SNC; - Developing files and managing accounting and tax information in accordance with the objectives defined by the Administration/Directorate of the entities.

Graduates of the Professional Higher Technical Course in Accounting and Management will be able to work as intermediate technicians in public or private companies, banking institutions, educational establishments, accounting offices or other organizations/entities that provide accounting services.
