The degree programme in Automation and Computer Systems is fully integrated into IPLUSO's scientific, cultural and pedagogical project. This cycle of studies aims to fulfil the need for highly qualified graduates in order to meet the current and future challenges of the STEM generation, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. The programme covers the areas of: Electronics and Automation to the area of Computer Science. The aim is to train students in automation in general, industrial production and maintenance, industrial and mobile robotics, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, development, analysis and design of: intelligent systems, autonomous systems.

Candidates can apply for this cycle of studies if they apply through the institutional access competition and have taken one of the following sets of exams: 19 Mathematics A 07 Physics and Chemistry or 18 Portuguese 19 Mathematics A or 07 Physics and Chemistry 18 Portuguese or 10 Descriptive Geometry 18 Portuguese or 10 Descriptive Geometry 19 Mathematics A Candidates can also enter through the system of changing institution/course pair or through a Special Competition, in accordance with the legal rules in force (holders of a higher education degree, holders of a Technological Specialization Course, holders of a Professional Higher Technical Course or over 23 years of age). Candidates who meet the conditions laid down in the International Student Statute may also enter. -
ObjectivosObjectives
The study programme was designed to provide continuity to the training provided by pre-university studies, thus enabling the development and deepening of the knowledge obtained in previous study programmes. The aim is to achieve these objectives through theoretical and practical training with an emphasis on new technologies, specifically Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of industry, in order to provide the necessary competences within the profile required of future professionals in this sector. -
