This program provides professional qualification for teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and in Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education.

- Holders of a degree in Basic Education; -Holders of other degrees provided they meet the minimum training requirements set for entry into the respective speciality in the Annex to Decree-Law no. 9-A/2025 of 14 February: - Areas of teaching and specific didactics: minimum of 90 credits; - General educational area: between 10 and 20 credits; - Mandatorily distributed among the following scientific areas: - 20 to 30 credits in Portuguese; - 20 to 30 credits in Maths; - 20 to 40 credits in Natural Sciences and History and Geography of Portugal; - 18 to 25 credits in Artistic Education and Physical Education (cf. Annex, speciality no. 5, of Decree-Law no. 9-A/2025, of 14 February) - Oral and written command of the Portuguese language and mastery of the essential rules of logical and critical argumentation (art. 17, point 1 of Decree-Law no. 79/2014, of 14 May).

- To provide professional qualifications for teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and in Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education; - To foster the development of critical analysis and problem-solving skills in specific levels and subject areas, encouraging an investigative mindset.

The Master¿s degree grants professional qualifications to teach as a teacher in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and as a teacher of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education in both public and private educational institutions.
