At a time when there is an increasing development and proliferation of thematic television, cable or web, when there is a need to boost experimentation and when technical specialization becomes urgent - integrated into a broader context of cultural and thematic knowledge of creative media and cultural industries, so that it does not become empty or separated from the lines of cultural, creative, social and economic growth, the Higher Professional Technical Course in Audiovisual Content Production aims to train specialized professional technicians in the field of audiovisuals and multimedia in order to fill the shortage of professionals in this area. The development of multimedia products involves a wide variety of skills ranging from project planning and management to the design and conception of interfaces and the production of images, sound and video. The Polytechnic Institute of Lusophony's Higher Professional Technical Course in Audiovisual Content Production has the general objective of promoting training that combines a solid theoretical component with a strong applied training component in the audiovisual and multimedia area. Throughout the course, students are constantly encouraged to experiment technologically and artistically, with the ultimate goal of training professionals who are technologically competent and conceptually and artistically creative.

To train professional technicians capable of conceiving, managing and executing audiovisual projects with a particular focus on multimedia tools, writing scripts, producing and directing audiovisual content, capturing and editing sound and images.

- Capturing and editing sound using the appropriate equipment and integrating it into the image; - Designing lighting and providing image assistance; - Writing scripts for audiovisual projects, namely television and video fiction, documentary, institutional and advertising; - Producing and planning, coordinating and assisting in the production of audiovisual projects, whether television or video fiction, documentaries, institutional and advertising; - Directing and planning, coordinating and assisting in the realization of audiovisual projects, whether television or video fiction, documentaries, institutional and advertising; - Editing images using post-production editing and manipulation software; - Operating digital technology cameras for film, video and television.
