This course aims to provide solid scientific and pedagogical training in order to understand the complexity of teaching and learning processes for children up to the age of 12. In this sense, it includes training in the areas of teaching, general educational training and specific didactics and provides training in formal and non-formal educational contexts, through the Initiation to Professional Practice in Daycare/Kindergarten, 1st CEB, 2nd CEB. It also provides access to teaching qualification courses in Pre-School Education and 1st and 2nd CEB Teaching.

- To promote a cultural, social, scientific and ethical education that enables the complexity of the educational phenomenon to be analysed; - To guarantee scientific, didactic and pedagogical training that enables further studies to access teaching; - Promote a reflective and critical attitude towards teaching practice and professional development; - To implement training strategies in such a way as to enable the development of each student's particular potential; - To develop ethical competences that make it possible to establish relationships between the different players in the educational process that promote student development; - Building interdisciplinary knowledge capable of assessing, designing and developing projects that respond to students' development needs; - To promote the values and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning and the professionalisation process. To encourage training that guarantees professional intervention that promotes full citizenship.

- Students who intend to become teachers in Pre-School Education and in 1st and 2nd CEB Teaching. - Students who intend to pursue a career as a senior technician in central, local and municipal administration, companies or other private institutions.

- Demonstrates possession of the competences that fulfil the training profile required for this professional activity. - Has mastered the knowledge that makes up the different areas of the curriculum at this level of education. - Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan and intervene using pedagogical models that are appropriate for student learning. - Is able to co-operate with colleagues, in teams and with the educational community, in favour of student development. - Participates in scientific, cultural and educational events for personal and professional development.
